What is Tropical Sno?

Tropical Sno is a premium shaved ice experience offering an ultra-fine, fluffy dessert topped with a wide variety of delicious, custom flavors. It’s not your typical ice treat - its smoother, softer, and melts in your mouth like a cloud.

Shaved ice started from a revolutionary idea after modern breakthroughs in refrigeration. That idea was to spin large blocks of ice in a custom lathe to shave extremely thin layers of it into a cup or bowl, then flavor the pile with something sweet like honey or simple syrup. The delicacy was unmatched for its refreshing texture and light taste.

The world rapidly responded to develop stronger, better flavors that complimented the novelty that is shaved ice. Established in 1984, Pioneer Family Brands developed many iconic flavors that are now globally recognized for their distinct high quality. Today, there are over 36 premium flavors that we may choose from before deciding what we keep in stock from year to year. We may not Pioneer Family Brands themselves, but every day we are thankful to be part of their journey making the world a cooler place.

Do you offer sugar-free options?

Yes! We have a variety of sugar-free flavors made with alternative sweeteners. Just ask your server for the available options.

Are your products gluten-free or dairy-free?

Yes! Our standard shaved ice flavors are both gluten-free and dairy-free. Specialty toppings like cream or candy may vary, so please ask if you have a dietary concern.

Do you take card payments?

Yes, we accept all major credit and debit cards, as well as mobile tap-to-pay options like Apple Pay and Google Pay.

Do you offer loyalty rewards?

Yes! Ask about our buy-9-get-one-free stamp cards so you can earn a free shaved ice after your visits. We also offer limited time discounts through social media to reward followers.

Is [a certain flavor/concoction] still available?

A few flavors contain ingredients that are difficult to source. For example, we have not had huckleberry on the menu for many years due to it being discontinued worldwide. Likewise, kiwi was unavailable due to a similar issue. However, it is now back! For an idea of the flavors that we keep regularly available, visit our concoction lab.

If the menu ever updates and you see your favorite concoction disappear, rest assured that we maintain references for our previous menus inside the stand. For instance, we will always know what you mean by ‘homemade ice cream’, (vanilla + vanilla cream) but we have taken it off the menu to free up space for ones that are more imaginative.

Can I mix flavors?

Absolutely! You can combine any three flavors to make the perfect combo. Curious if your mix is already named? Visit our concoctions lab to create your own concoctions online. If we have a name for it, we’ll tell you. If we don’t, you can submit one to be considered!

Can we reuse spill protectors?

If you rinse them off between uses, yes! We’ll place your product into the spill protector when we are done making it for no additional charge.

Why are you closed during your listed hours?

There are several reasons why we might be closed on a day. The most likely one is weather. We can’t serve a product under heavy precipitation and will close if the weather is expected to last more than an hour. Depending on how much time is left in a day we may reopen to provide a rainy-day discount, so we don’t post to explain closures due to weather.

Another reason might be personnel changes. In the past we’ve closed to come to terms with the loss of critical employees, and our hours may have differed slightly if a person could not attend their scheduled shift.

Besides these, it’s always possible we may sell out of ice. If it is necessary to be closed for multiple times on a sunny day, we will do our best to announce why through social media.

Do you cater?

Currently, no. Please don’t leave yet. We have been undergoing repairs and maintenance on both of our trailers while also restructuring, training, and preparing our organization to guarantee that each service meets high quality standards. We will cater again as soon as possible. When we do, we will certainly not disappoint. In the meantime, if you request something now, we may provide a discount for orders placed 6 months in advance.

When the coast is clear we will announce this on our website and social media pages, offering a discount to any of those who have been affected by our inactivity.

We truly apologize to anyone who did not receive a timely response to a catering inquiry. We will return your messages once we are prepared to mobilize the business.
